Home cooking with a wood fire?

Admittedly I’m a Prepper. To ignore the need to prepare seems irrational. As my consciousness increases so does my concern. Ray Dalio said in his book Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order that we should Know all the possibilities, think about the worst-case scenarios, and then find ways to eliminate the intolerable ones. Living in the Rocky Mountains, I worry about finding sources of heat and how to cook food without any power. If all power sources fail, we’ll have to rely on firewood. We’ve designed our home to have multiple wood stoves, ample firewood storage and a main wood stove that doubles as range and oven.
